You will need:
- A glass
- 400ml white wine vinegar
- 10ml washing up liquid
- Food colouring (optional)
- Two teaspoons
- Baking soda
- 100ml of water
- A tray
Method:
- Pour 400ml of white wine vinegar into the glass.
- Add 100ml of water to the vinegar.
- Add 10ml of washing up liquid to the mixture.
- Add the food colouring (any colour) and mix.
- In the second glass, add a small amount of water to roughly the same amount of baking soda.
- Mix.
- Add the two mixtures together and watch your volcano erupt!
How does it work?
The baking soda reacted to the vinegar, which meant that when they were put together, the vinegar became frothy and rose to the top.
